Drop Camp Hunts

Dominguez Outfitters offers drop camp hunts for hunters who prefer a self-guided experience with logistical support. We transport hunters and gear into remote public land areas within GMU 61 and 62.

What to Expect

Drop camps provide access to remote areas while allowing hunters to operate independently. Hunters are responsible for their own hunting decisions and daily planning.

  • Remote public land locations

  • Pack-in access

  • Self-guided hunting

  • Variable terrain depending on camp location

Drop-Camp Accommodations

We utilize large pack-in tents for Drop Camp hunting. Bedding not included.

Packing & Game Retrieval

All guided elk hunts include packing and game retrieval services.

  • Field dressing, caping, and quartering

  • Pack-out from the field

  • Game cooler available on site

  • Additional game retrieval beyond standard services may incur hourly fees

Licensing & Physical Requirements

  • Valid Colorado elk license required

  • Hunter safety certificate required if born after Jan 1, 1949

  • Good physical condition expected due to elevation and terrain
