About Us

We are a family-run outfitting operation based in Whitewater, Colorado, operated by Austin and Denise Massey. Austin serves as the primary guide and works alongside a small, experienced team that knows this country and the animals that live in it. Our focus has always been simple — provide honest, fair-chase hunts on public land and help hunters experience Western Colorado the way it’s meant to be hunted.

Units 61 & 62

We operate primarily in Game Management Units 61 and 62 within the Uncompahgre National Forest. This is rugged, physical country, and success comes from time spent in the field, not shortcuts. Our approach is hands-on and practical, whether helping with the application process, planning a hunt, or packing an animal out of steep terrain. Every hunt is a working hunt, not a scripted trip.

We keep things straightforward: experienced guides, proven areas, and realistic expectations. Our goal is to provide a solid hunting experience from start to finish and send hunters home with both a story and a better understanding of the country they hunted.
